Based on the story
Wonder by R.J. palacio
Throughout the story Auggie feels worst about school in till when he went to lunch, when he was at lunch he know that there were some people saying mean things and nobody sat next to him but this girl named summer didn't care of what Auggie looked like and went to go sit next to him. for example on page #51 '"is this seat taken'" i looked up and a girl was i never saw before was standing across from my table with a lunch tray full of food. she had long wavy brown hair, and wore a brown t-shirt with a purple peace sign on it. "oh , no'" i said she put her lunch tray on the table, plopped her backpack on the floor, and sat down across from me. She started to eat the mac and cheese on her plate. "ugh'" She said after the swallowing the first bite. "I should have brought a sandwich like you did'"... "yeah'" Auggie said, nodding.
This shows that Summer didn't care what Auggie looked like and wasn't judgmental like the kid named Julian and most of the people from their school. But Summer didn't care and sat across from Auggie and started talking to him and her friends called her over but she refused and asked them to sit over by her which meant a-lot and meant that she cares and she doesn't judges a book by its cover. Farther in the story Auggie gets more and more friends but Auggie is new to school because he was ok home schooled and didn't know how school would affect his life in till he knew that he was going to school.
Also in the story Auggie gets ear buds and think i will imbareced in but we doctor put The ear buds On he changed his mind when he put the ear buds on before the doctor turned them On. Auggie was waiting in till Halloween came Auggie wanted to be boba Fett and Summer Wanted To Be a Unicorn but not For the Halloween party at school.
For example at Lunch the next day, Summer asked me what i was going to be for Halloween and Summer said she was going to be a unicorn on halloween but something else for the halloween party and Charlotte was going as Hermione. Auggie wanted Halloween every day so nobody would make fun of Auggies face.
this shows That Charlotte, Summer, and Jack doesn't even care about Auggies face and Julian, miles, and Henry are always making fun of Auggie and Jack. when Some of the girls at Auggies school have a party Julian was invited and made up a lie that Auggie punched him and Auggie has anger issues to the whole party which makes more people not like him. When it was school the next day Charlotte wanted to meet Auggie in a room so she can tell Auggie that Julian spreed a lie to everyone at the party and now everyone thinks you have anger issues and you punched Juilian in the face.
At the end of the story Auggie goes to camp with his whole school and while they were at camp they were talking about something while that were watching a show, while Jack and Auggie were watching the show jack needed to use the bathroom and didn’t want to wait in the big line that there was at the bathroom so Jack chose to go in the woods and when they got out they found there self’s standing in front of 8th graders. When Jack and Auggie came out the woods the 8th graders pointed their flashlight right in Auggies and jacks face the 8th graders desisted to make fun of Auggies face Jack tried to “protect” Auggie. Miles and Henry found Auggie, Jack, and the 8th graders arguing and fighting Miles and Henry jumped in the fight trying to defend Auggie. Miles, Henry, Jack, and Auggie tried running away from the eighth graders so they can get back to the show and tell a teacher what happened in the woods.
For example at the end of the story more people got use to
Auggies face and became more of a friend and when Auggie got an award everyone
was clapping for him when he was walking up to the stage to collect his award
everybody didn’t care what his face looked like. This shows that the students at beecher prep doesn’t judge a
boy by his face or don’t judge a book by its cover.
